Terms of supply

How we sell and deliver

These are our standard terms for supplying precast concrete in the UAE. A signed subcontract, framework agreement or project purchase order takes priority over anything here. If a clause does not fit your job, tell us at enquiry stage and we will confirm the variation in writing — see contact.

Version August 2026 Applies to quotations issued on or after this date. Ask us for the version that applied to an earlier order.
01

Quotations

A quotation gives a delivered rate per unit, the quantity it is based on and the delivery window we can hold. Unless it says otherwise it is valid for thirty days and assumes full trailer loads to a single site. Rates are built on the quantity quoted — a reduced quantity is re-priced rather than pro-rated.

Where a unit is cast to your drawing, the quotation is based on the drawing revision named on it. A later revision is a new quotation. Standard sizes are listed on each product page.

02

Orders

An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing with a delivery date. A purchase order alone does not reserve stock or plant capacity. On cast-to-order work, production starts once the shop drawing is approved by you and, where the authority requires it, by the consultant.

Call-off orders are scheduled in batches agreed at order stage. We hold called-off units for the agreed period; beyond it, storage may be charged or the units released.

03

Price and payment

Prices are in UAE dirhams and exclude VAT unless stated. New accounts start on pro forma; credit terms open on approval and are confirmed in writing. Below a full trailer load a delivery charge applies, shown separately on the quotation.

Where a mould is made for your unit, the mould contribution is invoiced with the first delivery. Retention is not applied to material supply.

04

Delivery and offload

Delivery dates are the dates we schedule and work to, and we tell you as soon as one is at risk. You are responsible for site access, a safe and level offload area, gate passes and inductions. Where offload is by a hiab or crane truck we arrange, the driver decides whether a lift can be made safely.

Standing time beyond the free period on the delivery note, or a return trip caused by site conditions, is chargeable. The access questions worth answering before you order are in the specifier guides.

05

Risk and title

Risk passes on offload at your site. Title passes when the units are paid for in full. Until then the units remain ours, and we may recover unpaid units where that is lawful and practicable.

Once offloaded, storage, protection, handling and setting out are yours. Handling notes for each unit are on its product page.

06

Inspection and claims

Check quantity and condition at offload and note anything wrong on the delivery note. Shortages or transit damage should reach us within two working days, with photographs; we replace or credit verified claims and arrange collection of the affected units.

Dimensional tolerances and finish are as stated on the product page or drawing. Minor colour variation between pours is normal in precast and is not a defect. Claims on strength or durability are assessed against the batch records described in approvals and documentation. Returns and refunds are set out in returns and cancellations.

07

Changes and cancellation

Tell us as early as possible. Stock items can usually be changed or cancelled before despatch at no cost. Cast-to-order units follow the position in returns and cancellations: once a mould is committed or a pour scheduled, costs already incurred are payable.

08

Documentation

Each delivery note carries the batch reference. Mix design, cube and absorption results, source certificates and the approvals held by the casting plant are issued as described in approvals and documentation. Certificates are issued in the name of the plant that cast the unit and of the testing laboratory.

09

Liability

Our responsibility is the supply of the units to the specification ordered, and our liability for a supply failure is limited to replacing the units or crediting their value. We are not liable for loss of programme, plant standing time or other indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by UAE law.

Design remains the responsibility of your engineer. We can supply a structural calculation package where the loading is project-specific, but selecting the unit for its application is a design decision.

10

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the Dubai courts have jurisdiction. Before anything formal, call the estimator who priced the job — most disputes are a delivery note and a photograph away from being settled.
